Finance Director/CFO

Made for Movement (MfM) is seeking an operational Finance Director to be responsible for the preparation of accurate management accounts, forecasts, budgets and ad hoc financial analyses on a timely basis for MfM, including its foreign entities (Germany, UK, Holland, Sweden, etc). After a Sunrise Scandinavian ERP implementation project, which is planned over the next 12-18 months, the role has potential to evolve into a Scandinavian CFO role, with responsibility for both MfM and Sunrise Medical (Norway, Sweden and Denmark), requiring a more strategic orientation whilst retaining the operational responsibilities. In total, the Sunrise Scandinavia Group would have total revenues of NOK 700 mill.

This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and growing organization, and the right candidate has the experience and drive to take on the broader role of Sunrise Medical Scandinavia CFO.

The ideal location for the candidate is along the Skien-Oslo-Vestby corridor. A hybrid work arrangement is possible, combining remote work with some office days.

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • produce the mini-consolidation for the MfM Group, including the controlling of the small MfM foreign subsidiaries, providing accurate management accounts to the MfM CEO on a monthly basis, ensuring timely submission to Sunrise Medical Finance HQ in the UK
  • assist in evaluation and analysis of financial performance in terms of sales, expenses, product margin, particularly in respect of tender processes, and cash flow including accounts receivable and inventory
  • own and continually improve the region’s budget and forecast processes relative to P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • lead and build the finance function across Scandinavia, ensuring efficient operations with accurate and timely financial reporting for both local and group requirements
  • act as a senior business partner to the CEO of MfM and, in time, the Managing Directors in Sunrise Norway; contribute to increased profitability and give advice on financial decisions
  • provide financial analysis for all capital expenditures
  • take a leading role in an ERP implementation project across Scandinavia
  • represent the business positively and professionally for internal and external stakeholders

Corporate Finance headquarters are based in the UK and frequent contact with the UK team, and other finance teams around the world, will be required.


Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience from similar operational role and/or audit or consulting firm
  • strong understanding of finance and accounting and prior experience of building and running finance functions
  • experience of working in an international group
  • proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments to support profitable growth
  • interest in IT and digital solutions. Experience of ERP implementation would be very advantageous
